A CORD OF THREE STRANDS IS NOT EASELY BROKEN, Ecclesiastes 4.12b
Greetings from Switzerland!
Dear friends,
We hope you are doing well and we wish you God’s peace and joy.
We would like to update you where our new family are at since our latest news months ago.
Praise God, He has been faithful to us; we made it to YWAM Chatel-Switzerland on 26th of September, thank you for your support and prayers. We have been very busy staffing the Addictive Behaviour Counseling School (ABCS). It is the reason we are here and it is one of the desire that we trust God has put in our hearts a year ago. We are 6 staffs with 12 students all together from 12 different nationalities. The lecture phase started on 26 September and will end on 16 December. So far the school is going well yet it has been getting busy and deep.
We, God willing- will lead the outreach in Madagascar with some students from 16 December 2011 up to 9 March 2012. So as we are here, we also are preparing the outreach and are in contacts with people back in Madagascar.
Actually, we must say since our wedding on 30th July 2011, things have been going quite fast with us after 18 months away from each other.
Looking at the near future, we do have some prayer requests and would love your support in anyway,
- Smooth adjustment and bonding in our new family
- Finances, we still need to fundraise,
about 200CHF toward our staff fee,
2800$ toward our outreach fees.
- Our flight back from Switzerland to Madagascar is on 12th of December and we are praying that we can change it to 16 December so that we will be able to finish up well the school and not to miss the student’s final exam, the graduation and love feast. Please pray with us that there will be people 2 seats free for us. Up to now, the planes are full and with tickets bought by miles, it seems that we don’t have chance to change our flight yet we pray for it knowing that God is able.
- Outreach: some student and staff are still praying about going on outreach with us in Madagascar; please pray that God will show them his will. Also, the finances of those who are coming, the air fare to Madagascar is quite expensive especially in this time of hot season. We are praying that luck of finances will not hinder the outreach to happen.
Thanks God, churches, YWAM’s bases, Detox and Rehab centre …etc are already interested to have us doing seminars about addiction in different places in Madagascar. And we pray for God’s hand and help knowing that Madagascar is among the 3 countries around the world struggling with alcohol.
- Our home, we still pray for God’s guidance about where our family will live and serve knowing that both of us have heart for addiction, counselling and coaching fields. Being a cross culture couple, we have been talking about making a third country our family home and in between, travelling to Zimbabwe, Madagascar and Switzerland. We have those countries in our heart to run Discipleship Training and Addictive Behaviour Counseling schools with Youth With A Mission.
- Please pray for regular support that our new family can cope with our daily need especially now that we are going to have a babe to take care of. In this stage of our life, we really are in need of regular support that we can continue to serve God as a couple and as a family. And that what we feel God’s calling for our life and we are blessed and honoured to co-work with Him that way since years. We think if we have 15 or 20 persons committed to support us monthly each with $50USD,
